Uygar Özesmi

Uygar Özesmi is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in environmental advocacy and education. As the Founder and Instigator of Good4Trust.org since 2013, Uygar has fostered community-driven initiatives. In addition, Uygar serves as Board Chair for Türetim Ekonomisi Derneği and as Co-Founder and Trustee at Armaş Vakfı. Significant contributions include roles as Board Member at Ashoka Türkiye and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Sustainable Energy at KHAS CESD, teaching both Sustainable Energy and Ecological Economics. Uygar has also been a Founding Creative Leader at Neol and briefly served as Founder and Mentor at Change.org Türkiye. Notably, Uygar held the position of Executive Director for Change.org in Turkey from 2018 to 2023, championing crowd-sourced campaigns for social change. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Conservation Biology from the University of Minnesota, an MSc in Environmental Science from The Ohio State University, and a BSc in Geological Engineering from Middle East Technical University.
