Christian Schwarz is a software engineer who currently works at Neon. Prior to joining Neon, Christian worked at 49nord GmbH from March 2020 to October 2020, where they were responsible for data capture tool for sensors in an industrial plant (Rust), update of an embedded Linux project (Yocto) across several major versions, large-scale refactoring of a Qt 5 embedded Linux application, and CI/CD setup & optimization for aforementioned embedded Linux project. Christian also designed & developed a cloud service for data aggregation from a medical appliance, including backend development (Rust), CI/CD using Gitlab CI & Kubernetes, and setup & administration of a staging Kubernetes cluster.
From October 2019 to March 2020, Christian was a teaching assistant at the University of Karlsruhe, where they taught operating systems tutorials (weekly teaching session + assignment review). Christian also served as a research assistant at the University of Karlsruhe from May 2018 to November 2018, and as a teaching assistant from October 2017 to February 2018 and from October 2016 to February 2017.
Christian Schwarz has a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Karlsruhe and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science / Operating Systems from the same school.
