Matthew Dillon

Matthew Dillon serves as the Deputy General Counsel at Nesta since February 2020, overseeing the legal team and leading data protection and safeguarding initiatives. Previous roles include Head of Commercial Contracts at Priory Group, providing comprehensive legal and commercial advice, and Senior Legal Contracts Manager at the University of Surrey, where responsibility encompassed drafting various contracts and ensuring compliance with UK and EU regulations. Matthew's experience also includes positions at Manchester Metropolitan University, BUPA Insurance Services Limited, and the Health and Safety Executive, along with judicial duties as a magistrate. Matthew Dillon holds an LLB in European Legal Studies from Lancaster University and a Legal Practice Course qualification from The Manchester Metropolitan University.
