Sofia Pinto

Sofia P. is an experienced Data Scientist currently working at Nesta since July 2022, where major contributions include leading a data science project for a public-facing website with interactive visualisations, developing data processing pipelines, and implementing data quality checks for extensive datasets. Previously, Sofia served as a Data Scientist at Imperial College London from May 2020 to January 2022, focusing on crowdsourced data to analyze road traffic collisions and employing advanced machine learning techniques. Earlier experience includes a role as a Research Fellow at the Data Science and Policy Lab, where Sofia collaborated with the Ministry of Health on antibiotic prescription optimization. Sofia's background also includes private tutoring in mathematics, teaching assistance in programming, and supervising youth exchange programs.
