Umesh Pandya is a seasoned design professional and investor with a rich background in social impact and technology-driven initiatives. Currently serving as Design Lead at Nesta since January 2024, Umesh also holds the position of Venture Partner at Bethnal Green Ventures, supporting ambitious founders in tackling significant social and environmental challenges. As the Founder of HumanityAssist, Umesh pioneers mission-led companies aimed at addressing complex social issues. Previously, Umesh led design and product efforts at HealthLumen, directed design initiatives at 87%, and co-founded Wayfindr, a noteworthy social tech organization that enhances independence for vision-impaired individuals. Umesh's experience includes leadership roles at the Global Disability Innovation Hub and OpenCRVS, alongside significant educational credentials, including a Master of Arts in Communication Design and a d.MBA.
