Joonas Jokiniemi

Joonas Jokiniemi serves as the Head of Privacy and Data Protection Officer at Neste since December 2022, overseeing global compliance with privacy regulations and managing training and inquiries related to privacy. Additionally, Joonas is a member of the European Data Protection Board's Support Pool of Experts from January 2023. Previously, Joonas provided legal advice on data protection and privacy as Privacy Counsel at Veikkaus Oy and led the global privacy program as Global Privacy Officer at UPM - The Biofore Company. Joonas's extensive legal experience includes roles as Legal Counsel at Ilmarinen and Legal and Regulatory Support at the European Chemicals Agency. Academic credentials include a Master of Laws and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Lapland, as well as computer science degrees from the University of Tampere.
