Sami Saaresto

Sami Saaresto is a Senior Specialist in Business Controlling at Neste since May 2022, focusing on business finance, group FP&A, fixed cost analysis, and cost controlling. Prior to this role, Sami served as a GL Process Controller, ensuring high-quality financial information for stakeholders and maintaining oversight of legal entity transactions. Earlier experience includes a General Ledger Trainee at Gigantti Oy, where technology sales and customer engagement were key responsibilities, a Second Lieutenant in the Finnish Defence Forces, and a Warehouse Operator at Inex Partners Oy. Sami holds a Master’s degree in Finance and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Vaasa, with additional training from the Reserve Officer School.
