Ron Books is an Operating Executive working on buyout and growth deals with the Technology Group. He joined Carlyle in 2021 and has a specific focus on leading value creation initiatives.
Mr. Books also currently serves as Chairman for ECI Software Solutions, an established leader in providing industry-specific, end-to-end, business management solutions across several different vertical markets.
Mr. Books started at ECI as a start-up and rose to become CEO, holding the position from 2009 to 2021. Under his leadership, ECI grew from less than $50M in revenue to over $450M and was sold at a multi-billion dollar valuation in 2020, due to the successful execution of a strategic plan including 42 M&A transactions and a software license to cloud migration across nearly a dozen platforms.
