Senior Digital Forensic Scientist at Netherlands Forensic Institute NFI

Harm van Beek is an established expert in digital forensics with a comprehensive academic and professional background. Currently serving as an endowed professor of Digital Forensics at Open Universiteit since September 2024, Harm has also held significant roles at the Netherlands Forensic Institute NFI since March 2009, including Senior Digital Forensic Scientist and Program Manager for R&D in Digital Traces. Prior to that, Harm was the CTO at ISAAC Software Solutions from January 1998 to December 2008 and completed a PhD in Computer Science, specializing in Formal Methods, at Eindhoven University of Technology from 2000 to 2005. Educational qualifications also include an MSc in Computer Science from Eindhoven University of Technology (1995-2000) and certifications from EC-Council (2011) and SANS Technology Institute (2009).
