Sarika Chakravorty is an experienced educator and professional dancer currently serving as an Instructor at Extra Ed Inc and a Physical Education Teacher at Netivot HaTorah Day School, both since September 2023. With a background in the performing arts as a Performing Arts Educator with The Travelling Stage and a Professional Dancer for Bollywood Dance School Canada, Sarika also holds roles at MONAT Global as a Managing Market Builder and at Elson Dental Office as a Front Desk Receptionist since 2013. In leadership, Sarika was Vice President of the Indian Cultural Association until November 2023 and contributed to child welfare as a Child Life Volunteer at The Hospital for Sick Children. Educational credentials include a Master's of Education and dual Bachelor's degrees from York University—one in Education and another in Psychology and Children Studies. Additional experience includes mentorship and instructional roles with Peace by PEACE and the City of Markham.

Netivot HaTorah is a co-educational Pre-Nursery through Grade 8 school that supports the diversity of the Orthodox community in Toronto. In order to accomplish our mission, we: Guide every child to create the vital habits of heart, mind and neshama (soul) that make a fulfilling and meaningful Torah life; Recognize that each student is an individual, and seek to ignite their unique potential; Nurture each student to be confident, and feel loved and respected; and Help each student advance towards a mastery of Judaic and General studies using a child-centered learning approach. We aim towards proficiency in Hebrew language as the means to most fully access Jewish culture and texts. Our vision is that each of our students is uniquely prepared and proud to live a life guided by and committed to Torah values and Halacha, integrated with knowledge of the sciences and humanities and a deep connection to Israel. This will enrich each child, their home, and the world around them.
