John W.F. To is a leading expert in brain interface materials, currently serving as the Head of Brain Interfaces Materials at Neuralink since 2017. Prior to this role, John completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Stanford University from October 2016 to August 2017, following a PhD in Chemical Engineering at the same institution from September 2011 to August 2016. During the doctoral studies, John achieved significant advancements in the development of nitrogen-doped mesoporous materials and carbon synthesis, producing materials with unprecedented surface areas and capacitance for energy storage applications.
