Lesley Chan is an experienced engineer specializing in microfabrication and research and development. Currently serving as the Microfabrication R&D Team Lead at Neuralink since August 2020, Lesley has a rich background that includes a PhD in Chemical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara, where research focused on scalable fabrication methods for sub-wavelength surface structures and micro/nanoscale III-nitride light emitters. Prior to this, Lesley held roles as a Research Assistant at the University of Southern California, working on flexible silicon photovoltaics, and at UC Santa Barbara, optimizing nanostructures for improved infrared transmission. Lesley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Southern California.
