Roman Kazantsev, PhD, currently serves as a Materials Engineer and Software Engineer at Neuralink since November 2021. Prior experience includes leadership roles as Lead Data Engineer and Process Engineer at Lam Research from January 2018 to November 2021, and as Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer at Wellscape Coaching from February 2020 to March 2021. Roman also co-founded Lux Science, Inc., where responsibilities included Lead Developer and CEO, focusing on immersive STEM education for children. Roman's research background consists of a postdoctoral position at Berkeley Lab, concentrating on materials discovery for electrocatalysts, and significant contributions as a Graduate Student Researcher at the Argonne-Northwestern Solar Energy Research Center. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Chemistry from Northwestern University and a Bachelor's degree in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of California, Davis.
