Why Superfood Mushrooms?

Mushrooms are seriously under-appreciated in the United States. Fungi make up 2 percent of the Earth's biomass (200x that of humans), are used for life-saving medications, and yes, some are psychedelic (not ours - don't worry). In fact, there are 5.1 million species of mushrooms on this planet, but 98% of the mushrooms consumed in the United States are from just one species: button mushrooms ( Agaricus bisporus).

By diving deeper into the world of medicinal mushrooms, we learned that some species, like Chaga and Lion's Mane, have superfood qualities. By that we mean they're incredibly nutrient dense: loaded with antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and beta-glucans (plant-based compounds with a myriad of health benefits).

Our blend of superfood mushrooms subtly blend in with our coffee, each contributing a unique health benefit:
