Giulio Ruffini is an accomplished scientist and entrepreneur with extensive experience in both the research and business sectors. As the Chief Science Officer and Co-founder of Neuroelectrics Barcelona S.L. since April 2011, Ruffini has been at the forefront of advancing neurotechnology. Additionally, as CEO of Starlab Barcelona, S.L. since 2000, Ruffini manages day-to-day operations and strategic development. Previous roles include researcher and project manager at the Institute for Space Studies of Catalonia from 1996 to 1999, where expertise in GPS for remote sensing was cultivated, and graduate research positions at UC Davis and Los Alamos National Laboratory during the late 1980s to mid-1990s. Ruffini's educational background features a PhD in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from the University of California, Davis, along with multiple degrees from UC Berkeley in Mathematics and Physics.
