Amy Carvalho has served as a Regent for the Nevada System of Higher Education since January 2019, having been re-elected in 2024, and previously held the position of Chair of the Board of Regents from January 2024 to June 2025. As a Partner at Carvalho Properties since September 2000, Amy manages a diverse real estate portfolio across three states. From January 2004 to September 2022, Amy was the Owner/Franchisee of multiple 7-Eleven locations in Southern Nevada, overseeing daily operations and strategic planning. Academic achievements include a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, an MBA in Management & Strategy from Western Governors University, and an Associate of Arts in General Studies from the College of Southern Nevada.
