Ariel Zekelman is a Senior Product Manager at Amazon since May 2022, contributing to the Amazon Glow project. Currently serving as a Learning Science Exchange Fellow at New America, beginning in July 2020, this two-year fellowship focuses on child development for ages 0-5, facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration in learning sciences, journalism, education policy, and entertainment. Prior experience includes roles as Lead Play Designer, Senior Product Manager, and Senior Industrial/Interaction Designer at Osmo from December 2015 to July 2022, where award-winning educational games are developed. Additionally, Zekelman was a Game Designer at Northwestern University's TIDAL lab, co-founding the tangible programming game Strawbies, and served as a Teaching Assistant at the Art Institute of Chicago, along with experience as a Documentary Filmmaker at Yahad - In Unum. Zekelman holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in Architecture & Designed Objects with a minor in New Media from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and has furthered education at Northwestern University.
