Jacqueline Shehata Pharmd

Jacqueline Shehata PharmD, BCPS serves as the Executive Director and Head of Field Medical at NewAmsterdam Pharma since January 2024. Prior to this role, Jacqueline held the position of Executive Director, Head of Field Medical at Ionis Pharmaceuticals, Inc., where responsibilities included leading and developing Field Medical Directors and launching the drug inotersen (Tegsedi®) for hereditary transthyretin amyloidosis. Jacqueline's earlier experience comprises roles such as Senior Medical Science Liaison at Akebia Therapeutics, Medical Science Liaison at La Jolla Pharmaceutical Company, and Global Medical Training Manager at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals, where notable achievements included receiving the “MSL Team Excellence Award” and the “MSL Colleague of the Year Award.” Jacqueline’s clinical foundation includes experience as a Clinical Pharmacist at Kaiser Permanente and as a Renal Clinical Pharmacist within the Department of Veterans Affairs, where pioneering efforts led to improved clinical outcomes and cost savings. Jacqueline earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Auburn University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Kentucky.
