Michael Holmes is a Project Engineer at New Energy Equity since September 2020. Prior to this role, Michael served as an Engineering Intern at Virginia Tech while completing a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science & Engineering from 2015 to 2020. During the academic tenure, Michael graded student assignments related to Environmental Life Cycle Assessment and worked on various internships, including a Metallurgy Intern at Waupaca Foundry, where responsibilities included large-scale data management, root cause analysis, and metallurgical reporting. Additionally, Michael contributed to research on reduction processes at MATSYS INC. and developed biocompatible scaffolds at the DREAMS Laboratory, gaining hands-on experience in advanced manufacturing and material science techniques.
