Nathan Tanner is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in molecular biology and biochemistry. Currently serving as Associate Director of Research at New England Biolabs since March 2011, Nathan leads the Applied Molecular Biology Division, focusing on the development of innovative methods and enzyme tools for the biotechnology sector. Previously, Nathan held positions as Senior Scientist and Staff Scientist, focusing on isothermal amplification technologies and DNA enzymes. Earlier experience includes a postdoctoral role at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen specializing in single-molecule biophysics and DNA replication, as well as as a Graduate Student at Harvard University, where Nathan investigated DNA replication systems. Educationally, Nathan holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
