Rachel Sawyer-Walker

Rachel Sawyer-Walker, Ed.M., currently serves as the Director of Inclusive Excellence at the New Jersey Institute of Technology since September 2024. Previously, Rachel held the position of Associate Director of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Compliance at Ramapo College of New Jersey, where responsibilities included facilitating inclusive programs and training around diversity and inclusion. Rachel's extensive experience in higher education includes roles at Drew University that involved coordinating diversity programs, implementing justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion climate assessments, and mentoring underrepresented students. Additionally, Rachel has contributed to various initiatives at Rutgers University and other institutions, focusing on student engagement, program development, and fostering inclusive environments for diverse populations. Rachel holds a Master's degree in College Student Affairs from Rutgers University and a Bachelor's degree from Eastern Connecticut State University.
