Lauren Laielli is a seasoned professional in law enforcement and education, currently serving as a Detective at the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness (NJOHSP) since July 2015, with experience on the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force in Philadelphia. Previously, Lauren served as a Detective at the Atlantic County Sheriff's Office from March 2012 to July 2015 and as a Police Officer with the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority Police Department from February 2010 to March 2012. Lauren also contributes to academia as an Adjunct Professor in the Criminal Justice Program at Peirce College, teaching a variety of courses including Juvenile Justice and Criminal Justice Capstone. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice with a focus on Forensic Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and Criminal Justice, both from Stockton University. Lauren is a certified firearms instructor and a Master Resiliency Trainer, demonstrating a strong commitment to both public safety and education.

The New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness (NJOHSP) leads and coordinates New Jersey’s counterterrorism, cybersecurity, and emergency preparedness efforts while building resiliency throughout the State. The office is led by Director Laurie Doran and comprised of four Divisions: Intelligence and Operations, Preparedness, New Jersey Cybersecurity and Integration Cell and Administration. The Office is primarily based out of Hamilton with a satellite office in Newark. The Office is designated as the State Administrative Agency (SAA) for all federal homeland security and preparedness funding.
