James C. Kenney

James Kenney is currently serving as the Cabinet Secretary at the New Mexico Environment Department, where James oversees the protection and restoration of the environment in the state. With a background in environmental engineering and extensive experience at the US Environmental Protection Agency, Kenney has played key roles in policy advising, compliance enforcement, and program management related to oil and natural gas development and air quality standards. Prior to their current position, James has held senior engineering roles at various organizations and has authored a book on the Clean Air Act.Kenney holds a Master of Science in Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering Technology from Temple University.
