The New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science is where ancient worlds and scientific frontiers come together. Located in the heart of Albuquerque’s cultural corridor, the Museum is home to one of the most geographically rich fossil collections in the Southwest, immersive exhibits on planetary and space sciences, and a vibrant community of researchers, educators, and learners. 

Here, New Mexico’s story is told from the prehistoric to the present—through dinosaurs unearthed in rural towns and tribal lands, to space exploration that reaches the farthest corners of our universe. Our galleries inspire awe, spark curiosity, and connect visitors of all ages to the wonders of science and the richness of our shared heritage. 

Our Foundation exists to support and amplify the Museum’s mission through fundraising, advocacy, and strategic partnerships. We believe science should be accessible, engaging, and rooted in place.
