Joshua Schulman is an experienced educator with a diverse background in teaching, curriculum development, and library media services. Currently serving as a School Library Media Specialist for the NYC Department of Education since September 2014, Joshua collaborates with teachers to enhance inquiry-based learning and manages library resources. Previous roles include English Department Chair and Peer Collaborative Teacher, focusing on academic rigor and strategic planning for the English department. Joshua has also taught 12th Grade English at Cambria Heights Academy and has extensive tutoring experience for standardized exams. A dedicated professional development instructor for the New Visions for Public Schools, Joshua effectively combines technology and pedagogy. Joshua holds a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from Syracuse University, a Master of Arts in Creative Writing from Queens College, and a Bachelor's Degree in English/Language Arts Teacher Education from SUNY Geneseo.
