André Luna is an experienced Electrical and Electronics Engineer with a Master's degree from South Dakota State University and a Bachelor's degree from Universidade Federal do Amapá. Currently serving as an Associate Power Systems Application Engineer at NYISO since October 2019, André has a strong background in both academia and practical engineering, having held positions such as Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant, where contributions included teaching and investigating electricity markets for energy storage systems. Previous internships at Lea+Elliott, Inc. and Eletrobras further strengthened expertise in power systems modeling and algorithm development. Early career roles included monitoring power quality at Companhia de Eletricidade do Amapá and providing teaching assistance at the undergraduate level. André also participated in international educational programs, enhancing cultural and language skills.
