Ben Wong

Ben Wong, PE, has over two decades of experience in electrical engineering and power systems, currently serving as the Director of Digital Substation at New York Power Authority since August 2002, specializing in substation automation, IEC 61850, communications, and networks. Previous roles at New York Power Authority include Director of Metering and Senior Metering Engineer, focusing on power generation plants, high and medium voltage transmission systems, and metering system design and maintenance. Ben's earlier experience includes working as an Outside/Inside Plant Engineer at National Network Technologies, where responsibilities involved fiber optic network engineering and design. Ben Wong holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (Power) from New York University, a Certificate in Engineering Management from Clarkson University, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University at Buffalo.
