Part-time Writer To Support President & CEO

The New York Stem Cell Foundation (NYSCF) Research Institute is a highly successful nonprofit whose mission is to accelerate cures through stem cell research.

We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented, and proactive Part-Time Writer to support the President & CEO under the direction of the Chief of Staff. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Office of the CEO to craft high-quality written content, including correspondence, presentations, reports, donor communications and proposals, and speeches that align with the CEO’s vision and organizational goals. This position is ideal for a strategic thinker and highly effective communicator (verbal and written) with a commitment to excellence and driving impact. 

What you'll do:

  • Work closely with the Office of the CEO and development team to draft, edit, and proofread speeches, articles, and other communications for the President & CEO, including fundraising correspondence and proposals.
  • Assist in preparing presentations and briefing materials.
  • Conduct research to support content development and ensure accuracy.
  • Manage deadlines and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience in professional writing, editing, or content creation.
  • Strong research, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
  • Familiarity with corporate communication practices is a plus.
  • Availability to work part-time with flexibility to meet deadlines.
