Josephine Wesely

Josephine Wesely, PhD, is a Senior Principal Scientist at The New York Stem Cell Foundation Research Institute, where responsibilities include leading a team of scientists, managing projects related to genome editing and disease modeling, and fostering collaborations in academia and the biotech and pharmaceutical industries. Prior experience includes roles as Postdoctoral Scientist at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, focusing on reprogramming AML patient samples and establishing novel disease signatures, and as a PhD student at Georg-Speyer-Haus, where expertise in liver organoid cultures and gene editing was developed. Josephine holds a PhD in Biology/Biological Sciences from Goethe University Frankfurt, along with an MSc in Molecular Biotechnology and a BSc in Bio- and Process Technology.
