Martin Chalk

Martin Chalk is a seasoned professional in cost estimation and project management with extensive experience in the construction and infrastructure sectors. Currently serving as the Cost + Estimation Manager at KiwiRail since March 2022, Martin previously held the position of Regional Manager at Brosnan Construction, where leadership across the Lower North Island was provided. Martin's notable tenure as Estimation Manager at Transpower New Zealand involved enhancing estimating functions and tools and contributing to successful funding submissions. Prior roles include Programme Manager/Maintenance Manager at Housing New Zealand Corporation, overseeing capital programmes for a substantial property portfolio, and managerial positions at Parker Construction and Downer. Martin Chalk holds a BSc in Quantity Surveying from The University of Wolverhampton and A Levels in Maths & Business Studies from Bucks College of Further Education.
