Lynda Herrig, PE, LEED AP has over 12 years of experience at Newcomb & Boyd, LLP, where they started as an Associate Partner in 2007 and later became the Director of Business Development in 2016. Prior to joining Newcomb & Boyd, they worked as an Associate at Newcomb & Boyd from 1985 to 1997. Before their career in engineering, they were an Elementary Science Teacher at The Paideia School from 1999 to 2007.
Lynda Herrig, PE, LEED AP, obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Biology from Smith College in the years 1974 to 1978. Following their undergraduate studies, they attended Georgia Institute of Technology from 1981 to 1984, where they pursued a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (BME) degree with a focus on Mechanical Engineering. Lynda further expanded their knowledge in the field by earning a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) degree from Georgia Institute of Technology in the years 1984 to 1985. In addition to their education, Lynda Herrig has obtained several certifications, which include being a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Georgia, holding the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional designation from the USGBC, and being an ASHRAE Certified Healthcare Facility Design Professional (HFDP).
