Brian Edgecombe

Brian Edgecombe has extensive work experience in the materials and polymer research and development field. Brian currently holds the role of VP, Materials R&D at Newlight Technologies, Inc. which began in February 2022. Previously, they served as the Senior Director, Materials and Polymer R&D at Materia from May 2016 to April 2022. Brian also held the positions of Director, Materials Platform Research and Manager, Materials Research and Development at Materia from 2006 to 2016. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Research Scientist at Arkema from 1999 to 2005 and at Rohm and Haas from 1997 to 1999.

Brian Edgecombe has a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Chemistry from Cornell University. Prior to that, they obtained a B.S.Eng. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
