Mark Kiessling

Mark Kiessling, CSSBB, MS, currently serves as the General Manager at Newmont Corporation since May 2022. Previously held the position of General Manager at Coeur Mining, Inc. from October 2014 to May 2022, overseeing a significant underground gold mine in Southeast Alaska with a team of managers and a workforce of over 400 employees. Prior experience includes various roles at Kinross Gold Corporation, focusing on operations management and continuous improvement, as well as positions at Freeport McMoRan Copper and Gold and Phelps Dodge, where Mark led quality improvement initiatives and quality management for mining operations. Mark holds a Master's degree in Geology-Tectonics and Sedimentation from Idaho State University and a Bachelor of Science in Geology and Business Management from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
