Ross Polis

Ross Polis serves as the Global Head of Biodiversity and Climate at Newmont Corporation, where responsibilities include leadership in environmental and sustainability strategy, standards, and performance management across the world's largest gold business. With experience spanning various roles within Newmont since 2005, including Project Environmental Manager and Environmental Superintendent, Ross has a strong background in environmental management for significant mining projects in diverse global locations. In addition to current responsibilities, Ross acts as a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Risk Committee for Essential Personnel, a non-profit organization focused on enabling individuals to achieve their goals. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Environmental Science from Murdoch University, with a specialization in Conservation Biology.
