Richard Watson, MSW, LSW, LICDC

Richard Watson, MSW, LSW, LICDC has a diverse work experience in the field of social work. Richard started their career as a Residential Assistant at Caracole in December 2008 and worked there until July 2013. In February 2010, they joined Talbert House as a Case Manager, where they facilitated groups in jail settings, provided job readiness support, and helped reduce recidivism until December 2012.

From December 2012 to December 2018, Richard worked at Abraxas Youth & Family Services as a Treatment Team Supervisor. In this role, they performed counseling, case management, crisis intervention, and prepared treatment plans and progress reports for clients.

Currently, Richard is employed at St. Joseph Orphanage as a Mental Health Therapist, starting from March 2019. Their responsibilities include providing individual and/or family therapy, creating treatment plans, and offering evaluations and updates to address the mental health needs of their clients. Richard spends approximately 60% of their time providing direct care to clients, and their caseload varies depending on the level of care required.

Richard Watson earned their Masters degree in Gerontology from the University of Cincinnati, where they studied from 2002 to 2009.
