Abbie de Vera is a seasoned media professional with extensive experience in production, direction, and content creation. As the Community Segment Booking Producer at News On 6 since November 2023, Abbie is responsible for sourcing and managing community-related segments. In addition, Abbie has led de Vera Productions since December 2010, creating and directing diverse new media projects, including the web series The World of Holly Woodlands, which garnered accolades at the New Media Film Festival. Previous roles include Content Coordinator at FOX23 News, Assignment Desk Editor at KJRH, and various freelance positions in production and direction. Abbie received a performing arts education from the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art, specializing in theatre, television, and film.

KOTV brought television to Tulsa when it signed on the air in October of 1949. The driving force behind it was a woman in her twenties who became the first female television station general manager. That bold, pioneering spirit continues in the station to this day. From our roots in an old International Harvester dealership to now in the Griffin Media Center, we've called downtown Tulsa home.
