Dee is currently serving as the Vice President of Engineering at Newsela, where they lead the entire Engineering organization. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Director of Engineering at Newsela, where they led the Content Consumption software development group. Dee also has experience as the Director of Engineering at SmileDirectClub, where they built and led multiple software engineering teams. In addition, they have held various web development and creative arts roles earlier in their career. Dee has expertise in technologies such as Python, Django, AWS, and HTML/CSS.
Dee Wilcox obtained a MIT Sloan Executive Certificate in Strategy and Innovation from MIT Sloan Executive Education in 2021. Prior to that, from 2016 to 2019, Dee earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in IT Management from Western Governors University. Dee's education journey started in 2007 at Regent University, where they completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership and Management in 2010.
