Jason Ediger is Chief Marketing Officer at Newsela where he is in charge of marketing strategy and telling Newsela’s story. Jason has nearly three decades of experience in EdTech across public education, big tech, and startups. Before joining Newsela, Jason served as the CMO of Discovery Education and spent 15 years helping build and lead Apple Education’s marketing strategy. Jason oversaw design, production, and marketing of online services for teachers at the Orange County Department of Education in California and spent nine years in the classroom teaching eighth grade, during which he was named “Teacher of the Year.” Jason holds degrees from Biola University and California State University, Dominguez Hills.
