Philip Jeffery

Philip Jeffery is an experienced journalist currently serving as the Deputy Opinion Editor at Newsweek since September 2020. Prior to this role, Philip held positions at the Washington Free Beacon, where responsibilities included Associate Editor and Assistant Editor from June 2019 to September 2020. Earlier experience includes a tenure as a Public Interest Fellow at National Review in early 2019 and an Editorial Assistant at The Weekly Standard from July 2018 to December 2018. Philip began their career in journalism as a Staff Assistant at the Hudson Institute from September 2017 to July 2018. Philip holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Columbia University, earned between 2013 and 2017.
