Seán Murphy's work experience includes various roles at different companies. Seán started their career at Heatons Stores as a Sales Associate from September 2008 to August 2011. Seán then moved on to BNY Mellon, where they worked as a Fund Accountant from August 2011 to June 2013, a Pricing Analyst from July 2013 to October 2015, and finally as a Pricing Supervisor from October 2015 to September 2016. Currently, Seán is working at Newton Investment Management Group, where they started as a Client Reporting Executive in September 2016 and later transitioned to the role of Consultant Database Analyst from April 2020 to April 2023. Seán then took on the position of Specialist, Business Development for a few months before becoming the Head of Commercial Data in July 2023.
Seán Murphy's education history includes multiple qualifications and degrees in the fields of investment management, accounting and finance. In 2017, they attended the CFA Institute where they obtained a degree in Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and focused on IMC Units 1&2. During the same year, they also attended The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (The CISI) where they earned a degree in Investment Operations Certificate, specializing in Investments and Securities.
In 2009, Seán enrolled at Maynooth University and pursued a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance, completing it in 2011.
In terms of additional certifications, Seán obtained a Certificate in ESG Investing from CFA UK in July 2021. Prior to that, they acquired the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) from the same institution in August 2020.
