Defu Wang PhD is a seasoned structural engineer with extensive experience in leading engineering teams and managing projects within the energy sector. Currently serving as Lead Structural Engineer at Global E&C since January 2024, Defu Wang previously held the position of Principal Structural Engineer at Worley, where responsibilities included serving as Deputy Structural Lead for Harbour Energy E&C scopes and participating in client and project meetings. Prior roles include Senior Structural Engineer at Saipem, PD&MS Group, and as Senior Engineer at Saipem, where Defu Wang focused on structural design and analysis, scaffolding, and mentoring junior engineers. Academic credentials include a PhD in Biomechanics and an MSc in Structural Engineering from the University of Dundee, in addition to a BEng in Civil Engineering from Zhejiang University of Technology.
