Derek Kerley

Derek Kerley is a seasoned professional in project management with extensive experience in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as Regional Sr. Project Manager for Utility Scale Solar at NextEra Energy, Inc. since July 2020. Prior to this role, Kerley held various positions at Florida Power & Light Company, including Florida Solar Project Manager and Construction Manager, contributing to the engineering and construction of solar projects from May 2017 to June 2020. Kerley began the career at Florida Power & Light Company as a Project Controls/Business Analyst, where responsibilities included tracking utility projects, ensuring compliance, and developing project management templates using Primavera (P6). Education was completed at Florida State University, earning a degree from the College of Business between 2005 and 2009.
