Yao Wang

Yao Wang currently serves as a Manager of Market Analysis at NextEra Energy, Inc., with a focus on operating and optimizing production cost modeling for North America's energy markets to support large-scale renewable investments. Previous roles at NextEra include Principal Analyst and Senior Analyst in Fundamental Analysis, as well as Senior Solutions Project Lead. Prior to joining NextEra in 2017, Yao Wang held research positions at North Carolina State University, contributing to Department of Energy and Department of Defense funded projects, and has experience with the US EPA and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. Yao Wang holds a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Physics and Dynamics, a Master's degree in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology, and a Bachelor's degree in Atmospheric Physics.
