Ivan C. Carmona-Tortolero

Ivan C. Carmona-Tortolero is a highly accomplished engineer and researcher with extensive experience in power conversion technologies and biomedical imaging. Currently serving as a Senior System Integration Engineer at Nextracker Inc., Ivan leads the development of power conversion products and manages system integration requirements. In addition, Ivan holds positions as an Affiliate Research Scientist at The MGH/HST Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging and as a Research Affiliate at Harvard Medical School. With a background as a Doctoral Researcher in Magnetism and Magnetic Materials at Virginia Commonwealth University, Ivan has developed innovative transcranial magnetic stimulators. Previous roles include Senior R&D Power Electronics Engineer at Solarlytics and Postdoctoral Research Associate at Northwestern University, alongside various project management and consulting positions. Ivan's educational background includes a PhD in Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering, as well as master's and bachelor's degrees in Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering.
