Marius Mathisen Søvik

Marius Mathisen Søvik is an experienced academic and engineer currently serving as Universitetslektor 2 at UiT - The Arctic University of Norway since January 2021, specializing in "Løsmasseskred og Skråningsstabilitet". In addition, Marius has been a Project Engineer at the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute since August 2017. Previous roles include two summer internships at Multiconsult ASA and Multiconsult in 2015 and 2016, an internship at the Direktoratet for Byggkvalitet in 2014, and various internships in 2012 and 2013 at Statens vegvesen and Høyer Finseth AS. Marius holds a Master's degree in Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from Politecnico di Milano.

NGI - Norwegian Geotechnical Institute

NGI is an independent international centre for research and consultancy in engineering-related geosciences, integrating geotechnical, geological and geophysical expertise.
