Trent Nichols is an experienced IT leader currently serving as the Director of Information Technology at The International Foundation for Electoral Systems since February 2021, where responsibilities include developing and implementing a comprehensive IT strategic plan focused on cybersecurity and organizational collaboration. Trent also contributes as a Cybersecurity Committee Member for the Overseas Security Advisory Council and as Volunteer Chief Operating Officer and Board Member for NGO-ISAC, promoting the safety and operational efficacy of nonprofit organizations. Previous roles include Director of Information Technology and Services at The Aspen Institute, where policy implementation and risk management were key responsibilities, as well as positions at the American Insurance Association and the National Retail Federation. Trent holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Syracuse University.
