Hans Christian Kaurin Hansson is currently serving as Regiondirektør Nordland at NHO since August 2023. Previously, Hansson held the position of Country Manager Marketing & Communications at Boston Consulting Group from May 2022 to August 2023, where responsibilities included leading the marketing and communications function across the Nordic region. Prior to this, Hansson was the Head of Global Obesity & NASH Policy at Novo Nordisk, overseeing policy and patient relations globally. Hansson's experience also includes significant roles at Roche, the Norwegian Office of the Prime Minister, and VG - Verdens Gang AS, where a strong background in public affairs, communications, and journalism was developed. Academically, Hansson holds a Master of Science in Health Policy from Imperial College London and an MBA with a specialization in Energy from BI Norwegian Business School.

The NHO - Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise - is the main representative body for Norwegian employers with a current membership of 22.000 companies ranging from small family-owned businesses to multinational companies. In addition to the central organization in Oslo, which has cross sectoral responsibility for members` interests, members also belong to one of 21 nationwide sectoral federations and one of 15 regional associations. The sectoral associations protect branch-related interests with the regional associations offering a local point of contact between companies and authorities.
