Giorgia Carol Byrne is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in energy-related law and governance. Currently serving as Head of Legal Development at NHOA Energy since September 2021, Giorgia has previously held positions as Senior Legal Counsel and Legal Counsel in an array of organizations including ENGIE, where contributions were made as Legal Counsel and Legal Specialist, and the European Commission as a Blue Book Trainee with a focus on legal advice within the energy sector. With a background in project finance from Norton Rose Fulbright and significant expertise in administrative law from Legance – Avvocati Associati, Giorgia's academic credentials include an Executive MBA from ESCP Business School and a Postgraduate Diploma in International Maritime Law from the World Maritime University. Notably, Giorgia conducted research on marine renewable energies during tenure as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Wollongong.
