Laura Chant currently serves as a Population Health Project Manager for NHS Lothian, having transitioned from a role as a Residential Care Worker at Dean and Cauvin Young People's Trust. Laura's extensive experience in supporting vulnerable populations includes placements as a Student Social Worker in various residential and community settings, where Laura engaged directly with young people and facilitated emotional support. Previous roles include serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA Leader with the Oregon Health Authority, a Community Health Educator with the Peace Corps in Benin, and various internships focused on health education and behavior change with organizations such as FHI 360, the World Health Organization, and Save the Children US. Laura holds a Master of Social Work from The University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor's Degree in Global Health from Georgetown University, along with co-founding the DC Leadership Workshop to empower young leaders through annual conferences.
