James Scott

James Scott is a seasoned electrical engineer with extensive experience in hardware design and systems engineering. Currently serving as the Lead HW Design Engineer at Nikola Motor Company since June 2023, James has previously held senior roles at FreePower and NXP Semiconductors, focusing on wireless charging technology and RF products, respectively. With a strong background that includes positions at Freescale Semiconductor, Cummings Engineering Consultants, Smart Modular Technologies, and Motorola Japan, James has developed innovative products ranging from rugged military-grade SSDs to digital imaging systems, contributing to 11 patents in the process. James holds a Master's degree in Embedded Systems from Arizona State University and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Weber State University.
